The large international mobile technology, the Mobile World Congress, held earlier this month in Barcelona has been completed and has left us much about what will happen this year. But besides offering exhibition space for companies to share new developments and upcoming products is responsible for rewarding those products, leading manufacturers and developers of the year, the MWC 2011 is no exception.
The iPhone, a smartphone developed by Apple, has taken the grand prize for the best mobile phone of the year, no doubt the company of Steve Jobs continues along the line of success that began years ago with the launch of the iPod. In addition the show has awarded Orange by incorporating mobile technology in low-income countries and emerging economies, AngryBirds has taken the award for best Android application, while, ironically, Google Maps has been awarded as the best application iOS.
For its part HTC has been named the best manufacturer of the year.
