Not only big companies had tablets in the Mobile World Congress. During the fair we also prove discrete models that we want to be left out. The latest entrant in the review of the show in Barcelona is the Huawei Ida S7 Slim, shy bet the company to enter China in this increasingly hard-fought market. The S7 Slim Ida Huawei is actually a version of the Huawei Ida S7, a tablet with seven-inch screen 800 x 480 pixels resolution that the company has already commercialized.
Slim version is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, and change the original screen by a resistive capacitive. The S7 Slim Ida Huawei also improves other aspects such as internal memory, which rises from 8 to 16GB. MicroSD card slot is in charge of auxiliary storage. The rearview camera is also improved from 2 megapixels from the original pauper.
Huawei did not specify the resolution of the new sensor, but it will be capable of recording video in high definition, we assume that at 720p. An output MiniHDMI is responsible for connecting the device to TV and other video equipment. At the bottom, the Slim S7 connector incorporates a stranger as Huawei has informed us, this is a landlord port dock accessory type.
The new tablet has 3G and WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth and a full range of sensors ranging from light and accelerometer to A-GPS. On the negative side, the S7 Slim Ida brings no no Honeycomb Gingerbread, but Android 2.2 Froyo virtually no customization. Currently there are no news about the possibility of future upgrades.
Although the internal processor is not detailed anywhere, the operation of the S7 Slim is not bad. The answer is quite fast and the applications start out with ease. A series of large widgets added by Huawei are responsible for giving us access to options such as browser bookmarks and calendar.
Without being one of the supertablets with Honeycomb, the Huawei Ida S7 Slim has seemed not a bad choice as an economic alternative to Samsung Galaxy 7-inch Tab. As usual, Huawei does not sell directly in Spain, so we'll wait to see what operators adopt to discuss the price.
