Geminid-DK, you have not seen a more realistic robot

The other day we were surprised, while appearing a bit of grime, with the Elf P1, a robot-human-shaped phone. For this new robot, called Geminid-DK, managed-how could it be otherwise, in Japan, generating even more amazement. Especially for the greater realism achieved. This is the third version of android designed by Hiroshi Ishiguro, professor at Osaka University and seems set for a new science fiction movie.

The robot is controlled remotely and diapers left in previous attempts to provide realism to a robot. Imitates facial expressions and movements dramatically. You may get more impact by having a western aspect, in particular seems to Henrik Sharf associate professor at Aalborg University in Denmark, which has contributed to its creation (and serve as a model).

Geminid-DK will be sent to Denmark as a study on human interaction with robots in different cultural contexts. In short, plant the robot to different groups of people and their reactions. Fear, surprise ... Here you have a video to see the realism of their movements. Is at least disturbing and well done.

By the way, also recommended the gallery posted on the Facebook page with the progress of creation.
