Adobe offers a conversion tool of Flash in HTML 5

The company introduced Adobe, Monday, March 7, a new tool that converts its Flash format to HTML 5. Wallaby baptized, this development tool is for now only available as experimental. But nevertheless this system marks an important milestone for Adobe. Flash proprietary technology, including the ability to play videos, commercials or play games online through a plugin in their web browser, is a de facto standard, present a vast majority of computers.

The application from Adobe is currently installed on 98% of the world's computers. According to the company, 75% of videos on the Web sites and 70% of games support this proprietary format, the source code can not be changed. HTML 5 is the standard for its part still under development, but it will in particular include videos in Web pages without using add-in browser.

BATTLE OF FORMATS But since the announcement of the release of the iPad, there are more than a year, Apple has stepped up attacks against Adobe Flash. In April, Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, had prepared a list of grievances to justify the abandonment of this technology on mobile devices of the mark.

When presenting its new range of laptops in October, the Cupertino company also announced it will pre-install over the Flash player from Adobe Systems on its Mac computers in the future. In September, Apple announced, however, relaxed its rules on programming tools for iPhone, allowing the use of Flash for designing applications intended for its phones and tablets, having banned in April.
