D-Link MyPocket and Lepetit, two 3G routers to lose in your pocket

In our journey through the crowded stands of MWC 2011, we made a quick stop to interview the guys from D-Link and its Boxee Box. Apart from what they told us about his streaming video player, the company is famous for its internet access devices, ranging from ADSL Routers to the popular USB 3G skewers.

Of all the gossip range of antennas, the two models that captivated us most were the D-Link D-Link MyPocket and Lepetit, two 3G data routers that stand out for their tiny size. The D-Link Router MyPocket is now available in Spain for a price of 179 euros. Like other similar devices offered by telephone operators, the MyPocket creates a little WiFi hotspot for up to 16 devices from a 3G connection up to 7.6Mbps downstream and upstream 5.76.

Apart from the necessary SIM card slot, the MicroSD port rejoining MyPocket whose storage space is accessible from the WiFi protocols believes in 802.11b / g. An internal battery lets you use the device without connecting wing power for about three hours. Charging is done via miniUSB. Lepetit D-Link router has the same features as its big brother, except for the MicroSD slot and battery.

To operate just plug into any USB port to be fed, whether or not a computer. The Lepetit is not out yet in Spain and its price is unknown.
