It's time to start reviewing the terminal site presented by LG at MWC this year. South Korea has launched three new handsets from which the highlight is, without doubt, the LG 3D Optimus. This is the first smartphone to hit the market with a 3D display visible without stereoscopic glasses. Optimus LG screen 3D works by Parallax Barrier technology like the Nintendo 3DS, and its effect is just as resultón.
However, it is not the only charm of this smartphone that focuses on pure processing power and hard to compete with Samsung Galaxy sII. We frankly curious to see how LG integrated menu system on a mobile three-dimensional under Android. The answer is not all it's 3D interface. The phone features Android 2.2 Froyo, which LG was quick to comment that will be updated shortly Gingerbread.
All 3D menus are grouped into a hub that includes access to video games, camera, photo and video, 3D guide created for the occasion and the 3D YouTube channel, which will be exclusive 3D Optimus LG for a few months. The 3D effect can be turned on and off using a dedicated physical button on the side.
As for the dual camera, is very similar to the LG Optimus Pad, with two 5-megapixel sensor and 1080p HD recording at 720p is reduced if we do it in 3D. 3D photos taken with the camera are nice, but still give the feeling of several layers of paper, as in a children's book down. Where other phone that 3D displays its full potential is in video playback and video games.
Just hope that the Korean dowry to this terminal a good catalog of titles to choose from. Beyond 3D, 3D Optimus LG is the first mobile, plus dual-processor features dual dual-channel memory. This translates into better use, at least in theory, performance and load your application. Such power can only be realized by installing and checking software.
At the moment we can say that the menus and start-up applications are very fluid, but not much more than other smartphones with dual core. The reverse is not so positive on the power of 3D Optimus LG is that it's a little billet to what we're seeing at the show this year. Its thickness is 11.9 mm and weighs 168 grams.
Moreover, we are facing which is probably the terminal with more muscle to the fair. We will test its performance as falling into our hands.
