The Hollywood industry bet on the Internet compared to DVD

The biggest film industry have taken advantage of the technology focus is on the CES to announce the DVD as a format over from popular video consumption. Skype acquires video service Qik

The internet telephony company Skype announced Thursday an agreement to buy Qik, a young California company that specializes in streaming (streaming) videos on mobile phones. An 'application' of the Caixa payment receipts with the iPhone camera

La Caixa has launched an application for payment receipts. The 'application' photograph the receipt barcode, which automatically transforms the data needed to complete the payment transaction. CES: Sony shows 3D laptop, LG 3D TV without glasses

Darty starts to turn into the quadruple play

Darty group, which already markets an offer "triple play" subscription television and Internet telephony, announced Thursday its intention to launch a mobile service. According to information from Cnet, Darty would use the SFR network. Subscribers to the triple play will subscribe to mobile telephone service in February, before opening up to new customers in June.

Earlier this week, Virgin Mobile also announced the launch of a quadruple play in September.

U.S. market research: Android overhauled iPhone

Today that from September to November 2011, the market share of Android devices in all mobile phone contract customers risen to 26 percent over the period from June to August. Apple smartphones came to only 25 percent. Market leader is still on RIM's Blackberry, but their share fell rapidly in comparison (see table).
