Aleman court exempts content filtering Rapidshare

German hostel site Rapidshare spends the day in court, moreover, contradictory decisions. This year, as a court absolved him of responsibility for non-hosted files, another at the request of a group of editors, he fined and forced to filter to prevent the discharge of certain books digitized. Now the first sentence has reached the appeal court has acquitted Dusseldorf Rapidshare again.

The lawsuit was initiated by the provider of games that required Artaria content filtering to prevent the shelter of files related to the game Alone In The Dark. Atari asked also that the automatic filtering Rapidshare completed with another manual. The court argued that the system of automatic filtering based on keywords was not advisable because it led to file gasping outside the dispute by the mere fact of holding the suspect word.

Manual filtering is confirmed by the court, simply impossible. According to the European directive, shelter services are not required to monitor the content. Of course, should act when they know that a file formal houses nonlegal content. Applying this criterion, Atari, and not rapishare, who must accurately identify the file, in its view, violated his rights and ask for their blocking.
