Wireless TV AMD, Intel competition is developing Widi

Intel promises Widi connection between the laptop and the TV wirelessly. We tested it last week with better results. This is where AMD has its place and in the future will bring to market AMD Wireless TV. Under the original name hides a technology with a similar idea to Widi, if not the same: to provide a wireless connection between a laptop and a TV-quality user adjustable (hopefully HD).

For now it seems the idea is to implement the Wireless TV on computers that use AMD Fusion and not as a second screen, if not in specific functions such as viewing a movie or view a PowerPoint style presentation. The key to this kind of development is to start with a good base of compatible devices and as cheap as possible, which for now does not comply with Widi, requiring an adapter of some 100 euros.

Little else is known about AMD Wireless TV, which is still in development stage and will probably face hits the market next year. Keep you informed. Via | Tech News Buzzone. More | AMD.
