Apple iTV projects for television and become "smart"

ROME - An iPad on the table, an iPhone in my pocket, and with good probability, soon BTI in the living room. According to reports, Apple would be planning to launch in the market for HDTV. It is also investing a significant amount of resources to achieve what is seen by many as the logical continuation of the ecosystem created by the digital.

A "big screen" in sync with the iPhone and iPad, iTunes and all content that Apple manages to convey. Google's attempts in this direction are interesting, although the transition to a new form of television meets the resistance of an industry that has - understandably - the terror of being swallowed up.

And the company's apple has already taken some steps in the field, with two generations of Apple TV, external device for the use of content on television today. But ITV is likely to be something much more advanced. Smart-TV. The project could also be more ambitious, with the introduction of a "Smart TV" face to television to make the evolutionary leap of the phone.

A large screen from which to control all home devices, based on a specially designed version of IOS. But most likely it will be the paradigm applied to Apple TV, which screens and hardware of excellent quality, attractive design and a business environment in which to purchase content and applications.

Plus of course all the features you'd expect from a TV of the present and the future: video with FaceTime, recording programs and the sharing of all user devices. The HDTV market has a value that is calculated to around 100 billion dollars a year. The arrival of Apple could be a growth and also a threat to other manufacturers, but all depend on how other firms respond to entry of Cupertino.

When and how much. The iTV could become a commercial product in late 2012 and should cost less than $ 2,000, in line with medium-high-end products which are already the industry has to offer. Opponents of Apple TV will not only Google and the battle will expand to engage Samsung and Sony, the most active on the front of the smart-tv.

But we must see what the finished product first to understand who may be affected.
