Obama participates in the first rally through Facebook

For the first time a U.S. president has gone on Wednesday to participate in a rally through Facebook. However, little had to see the largest Internet social network, which already has 600 million users in a debate rather was an interview with its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, to Barack Obama. Facebook is merely put its director, its offices and logos, and Obama was devoted to repeating the arguments he has already shelled repeatedly avoided public appearances since the federal government shutdown with a budget deal with Republicans, the past eight April.

The moments that sparked more applause and laughter from the audience only to rally in Palo Alto were those in which Obama and Zuckerberg joked about her outfit. The founder of Facebook came up with a poorly tied tie and a jacket over jeans and American sneakers. "My name is Barack Obama and I'm the man that Mark Zuckerberg has managed to bring a suit and tie," said the president.

At the end of the meeting lasted over an hour, Zuckerberg gave the president his favorite outfit, a hooded sweatshirt. Obama has spoken little of social networks or the Internet, despite being one of the most popular Facebook, with 19 million followers. Has focused on financial arguments.

At one point said that he, who last year won $ 1.7 million, mostly for his books, and Zuckerberg, should pay more taxes to have high incomes. "To me that seems OK," said Zuckerberg, the only time hinted at a political argument in the exchange. The President has stressed the need for the Government to speed up immigration reform so that those illegal residents who came from children to the U.S. and studied at national universities see open a path to citizenship. He said further that it is necessary to maintain a high level of investment in research and development "to prevent the next Intel born in China or in France."
