If the history of vaccines is a premium web

Here is a fine example of popular science. How many of us know the history of vaccines? Going beyond the most significant episodes, the theme is very interesting but, as often happens on certain subjects, is difficult approach to the layman. In this case we encounter the website The History of Vaccines administered by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia's Mütter Museum, dedicated to improving the health of citizens through its educational programs, services and resources.

The history of vaccines is explained here with a time line really immediate, direct, fun to browse and further, inviting the user to the different historical stages. Pop-up images and information are intended to inform quickly, with links to boards that develop the various themes. There is a lot of images, many of which are viewable in full screen with the possibility of enlargement, some video interviews and a blog-date.

Among the elements that impressed me, the section that explains how it works with animations, a vaccine, How Vaccines Work: a real presentation that combines text and animated graphics in an attractive and extremely easy. As this section there are several. A great site with great resources and free disposal of schools and students, it has been awarded the latest edition of Museums and the Web 2011 in the "Education".
