Atheros buys Qualcomm $ 3.1 billion

American designer of components for mobile phones Qualcomm announced on Wednesday 5, the acquisition of the company Atheros Communications, a specialist in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The operation is the largest of its kind ever conducted by Qualcomm, which has more than 10 billion dollars (7.6 billion euros) in cash at the end of September.
