Does iPad year 2? Or perhaps Honeycomb? Image of the Week

This week we experienced the launch of the iPad 2, the new Apple tablet, in fact, has not meant a complete revolution, but rather a collection of small improvements to maintain the hegemony that the first model has over in recent months in the world of the tablets. But this year will be different. iPad 2 Honeycomb compete with Android, and more specifically with Xoom gadgets like Motorola, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, MSI Windpad 100A, LG Optimus Pad or others who come in the coming months.

This year's competition will be tough and Apple will struggle to maintain the same figures as in previous years. Or not? iPad 2 still has the same characteristics as the first model: a device very fast, very efficient, easy to use and, above all, with a manzanita drawn on the back, which in recent years is very fashionable.

Call it marketing, or whatever you want, but that's the reality. The iPad 2 points to a tablet, 2011, succeeding the first successful iPad. But that does not mean that there are other interesting tablets. 3 Honeycomb Android at CES was presented as a revolution of Google but oriented system for use in tablets.

A completely revamped user interface, very different and ready for use on large screens gadgets, not pocket telephones. If the system we put devices interesting as any of the tablets presented both at MWC 2011 at CES 2011, will bring the user experience will be excellent. 2011 will be the year of the second generation of tablets, a year where Apple has seen that competition is ready to face the gates of Cupertino, at least in devices.

Prices Honeycomb tablets do not seem to really compete with iPad 2, which can be a huge drag on the Google system. Within about nine or ten months we will draw the conclusions on this particular - and very interesting - war. And do not forget the other tablets: Blackberry playbook and bets HP TouchPad are very interesting, but minority and uncertain.

Nor do we lose sight, of course. Image | Applesfera
