LG Smart Diagnosis, the machine that 'whispers' the ears of technical

LG has just added a curious provision in its latest washing machines. Diagnosis Smart is a technology that allows the washer to communicate with the service in case of failure and report on what exactly happens. When attending the LG event organized today under the premise of a 'speaking machine' we were expecting something very technical like some kind of WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity, or even a small speaker on the washing machine to tell us their sentences in wet bar plan .

In the end, Smart Diagnosis uses a technology very, very old, yet you have found an ingenious use: the modem. Diagnosis Smart works through the audio from any phone. The sequence is roughly this: we suffer an incident with the washer and call for service. The telemarketer asks us to hold the phone to the screen of the machine and press the temperature button for several seconds.

At that time, the machine begins to emit a chorus of shrill beeps and chirps that more veterans will remember from the old modems to connect to the internet. The concert is captured and demodulated on the other side of the line to make the corresponding error message with a brief explanation.

No one can say that Smart Diagnosis is futuristic, but is an ingenious solution, especially considering that many people may not have WiFi or an advanced networking system in your home. In addition, we no longer give endless explanations by telephone and also prevents the technician on duty Sablee we just come and see what happens to the machine.

Smart Diagnosis recognizes more than two dozen errors as LG, are all that can affect a washing machine. The system has just been incorporated into the Direct Drive washing load of 11 kilos, but will be extended to the range and the company installing the system does not rule out other white goods.

Smart Diagnosis was made with LG Friend, an extension of technical servcicio by which we can report incidents via the Web, e-mail, Facebook or Twitter as well as by phone.
