Archos 70b Reader, eReader tablet I wanted to be

7-inch LCD screen, Android 2.1, WiFi ... many will be thinking about a tablet to read this list of specifications, but no. According to Archos, the Archos 70b Reader is not a tablet, but an electronic book reader with Android operating system. What you call it, the Archos 70b run by a dangerous no man's land.

LCDWVGA color screen lets you watch video or photos in color, fine, but cut the battery to six hours of video, 10 reading and 18 musical play, a brand light years ahead of what they want the electronic book lovers. Not to mention that the LCD-eyes more than any electronic ink display. The device is not very muscular as tablet.

Archos has not revealed anything about the processor though, the adapted version of Android, we suspect that will not reach anywhere near 1GHz. The internal memory is only expandable to 16 with 4GB SD cards. The wireless is Wi-Fi b / g. Physically, the Archos 70b Reader measures 207 × 136 × 13 mm and weighs 330 grams, their connections go through microUSB for charging and data and audio jack 3.5 mm.

Android usual buttons are accompanied this time by several buttons to turn the page and a crossbar to move through menus. There is no information about the type of touch screen features, but for the price of a resistive'd wager. E-book reading is provided by Adobe software and is compatible with TXT, PDF, EPUB, AP, FB2, HTML, RTF, Mobi and associated DRM.

The price of the device, at least not rise much. Is already in stores for 149 euros.
