The computacin in the cloud, star theme CeBIT

As SIMO, CeBIT in Hanover was born in 1970 as a showroom of the latest technology designed for the office. Its name means the Center for Information Technology and the Office. Gradually evolved into consumer devices. Thus, from Wednesday to Saturday the doors will be open also for individuals interested in the latest technology.

The hot topic this year is cloud computing, computing in the cloud in Spanish, or "cloud" to dry and is often referred to documents housed on the Web for quick access without having to be the computer. Although the consumer has the feeling of change ... several years using it, probably unconsciously, to save your images in Flickr, or see mail from Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail.

Also to create shared documents online with services like Google Docs. The theme of this CeBIT is "Working and living in the cloud." Many users are already living in it. It is a big cake for companies such as Amazon. com that sells professional space in the cloud (in addition to the many books and equipment in his shop).

The same applies are Salesforce and Google. Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, for almost two years betting on this type of work. Promises cost savings and management / maintenance of servers. Although the organization insists that the fair is dedicated to the world's largest technology, which is occupying the physical extent, not so much as to relevance.

CES in Las Vegas, held in the first week of January, has become the main event for consumer electronics. And the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, it is for mobile phones. Yet the fair has more than 50 exhibitors in 2010, reaching a total of 4,200 exhibitors. CeBIT is divided into four thematic areas: PRO, Business, Gov, for governments and public administrations; Lab, dedicated to research and the future, and Life, the most fun, designed for the consumer on the street.

Apple will not, make reluctant to appear in such meetings, but are these Microsoft, Google, Asus, Sony, AMD, Intel or the car manufacturer Ford. As often happens in these appointments will be much prototype apparatus surprising but little specificity with regard to the release date and retail price.

Future events outside of time, only one company has made a specific promise: Deutsche Telekom wants before the end of 2011 the German city of Braunschweig, Brühl, Hannover, Hennigsdorf, Neu-Isenburg, Kornwestheim, Mettmann, Offenburg, Potsdam and Rastatt can connect to the network with download speeds of one gigabit per second.

In the 2010 Spain was the guest country. This time the relay takes neighboring Turkey. Angela Merkel, German chancellor, and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, were in charge of the presentation which was also attended as guests of honor the CEO of IBM, Sam Palmisano, and Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere.

During the ceremony, Merkel emphasized the growing importance of technology and social networks to effect change in North Africa.
