Fear of pop "the bubble of the tablets"

Some analysts began talking about the "bubble of the tablets" and the worst is that they fear that burst this year. According to JP Morgan, in 2011 there are plans to produce 81 million tablets of all the vendors. While considering that a maximum of about 47.9 million will be sold, if expectations are lowered production by 20%, the result is that there will be an oversupply of 36%.

The second part of the predictions are focused on who will be hardest hit by the fever-producing tablets. It seems that Apple, the advantages of being a pioneer, not the victim. In this market of more than 47 million tablets, Apple will retain 61% this year which leaves a sale of 18 million tablets for the rest of the manufacturers.

Of this group, those who have more difficult will be those who go later and the price factor should also be considered. The announcement that the new iPad model keeps the price of the first places in a difficult position for those who want to sell more expensive tablets. Must be convinced that they are better or worth paying more for technical details lacking the iPad 2.

Motorola Xoom tablet sold without operating subsidy to U.S. $ 799. Has ten-inch screen and is equipped with Google's operating system, Android. The company, however, intends to offer models with only wifi, at lower prices. The Playbook for RIM, the maker of Blackberry, is expected to go at a price close to $ 500 but the screen is seven inches, compared with ten in the Apple tablet.

The new iPad in its highest range is worth U.S. $ 829 and prices of different models ranging from the 488 and 793 euros in Europe. The first competitor to Apple's Samsung. It was the first to provide an alternative to the tablet of the company Steve Jobs. The Galaxy Tab, seven-inch, 16 GB, costs 589 euros.

Samsung has vedido last year two million units since October. Apple, 15 million since April. Last week, a Samsung vice president said that, logically, the new 10-inch tablet should hit stores with a higher price than the first model, but said the company was "going to think about it." A drop in sales expectations by manufacturers of tablets new direct impact on suppliers.

Citigroup has lowered the expectations of Nvidia, a maker of processors, because estimates of a surplus in the market for tablets that lowers the estimated production figures. Some analysts do not rule out that some manufacturing pevisiones are inflated to guarantee supply contracts. Apple, with a huge availability of money, billionaires are signing supply agreements.

Not all forecasts are a resounding success for Apple. Mike Abramsky, of RBC Capital Markets General Manager, estimated that by 2014, the dominant operating system in the tablets will be Android, with 40% of sales.
