Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, will unveil the first data

There is no way to Samsung, always reveal important details about your products before the presentation, it is clear they do not put much impediment to it, and we will not miss the opportunity, and share information with you. This time it's the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, the intermediate model in the range of tablets from the Korean company, which as its name suggests, will 8.9 inch screen.

The event will take place tomorrow Samsung Unpacked in which we submit it officially. The first thing we assess is their light weight, 470 grams and dimensions collected at least that we can interpret the thickness: only 8.6 mm. It is logical that a smaller screen size, the set was going to win in mobility and ease of use, a detail that many people are beginning to value after months of use with nearby devices at 10 inches.

The following highlights the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is your screen resolution, despite having few inches, the resolution is the same as the 10.1-inch model: 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA). The pixel density is 169.6 PPI in (a iPad is 131.96 PPI). In the process we have other good news, again we have dual core processor, running at 1GHz.

It was possible that when an intermediate model between the 7 and 10.1 inches, may not be as powerful as the top model, but we see that the model will keep up. As expected from previous advertising images, the operating system will Honeycomb, but with a particularity that we had not found in other tablets with the latest operating system from Google: Samsung customize the interface.

The customization panel will go through the interactive panels on the desktop, we understand that a kind of widgets. We also stress that has created an open application manager with a certain air of BlackBerry Playbook webOS or at least is what we can interpret the images. By now we know that there will be WiFi version (Dual Antenna), do not give us details about data connectivity versions either 3G or 4G.

If the leak is not remedied, tomorrow we will have the official and other specifications. Vía | Pocket Now
