DVB-3DTV, all set for emissions by the TDT 3D

After high definition DTT, soon you can give away to a depth of DTT in three dimensions. Yes, you heard right. After laying the groundwork last July, the DVB and should be clear how the TDT 3D and in a few weeks publish all the details of the specification. And what does the publication of the specification for users? Well, on paper, peace of mind if everyone does what you owe.

The DVB-3DTV indicated to TV stations and producers how to record and deliver 3D content, and manufacturers of tuners, how to receive and interpret this signal for display on our TV, which certainly may be of current they need glasses for us to appreciate the 3D effect, or which will boom in the market and do not need glasses.

An important fact associated with this new specification is that the 3D signal transmission will be compatible with existing systems, thus the data to be included to tell the receiving equipment that there will be enough 3D signal. Thus, in theory simply a software update and clear, TVs if they are not 3D.

But we are talking about the receivers and some TV networks used for its own broadcasts. In this first phase the priority is to ensure compatibility with existing systems, while the second will be when you see the true potential of DTT in 3D. It will then be required to broadcast a signal identical 2D to 3D at the same time, and may also adjust the 3D effect on the receiver.

The final details and all information on the TDT 3D are expected to be revealed at the DVB World March meeting, as the call itself speaks of the passage of two to three dimensions. Track | Reghardware.
