ASUS Eee Transformer Pad appears this week in Europe, expect a competitive price

ASUS on Friday officially announced the release of ASUS Eee Taiwanese Transformer Pad, the Honeycomb tablet that takes the form of laptop by adding a keyboard designed for the occasion. We knew of their specifications, and waited with interest to know the price and date of release. For now we can not be very precise with the appearance in Spain, but if you anticipate that the UK will next Tuesday, March 30.

If we leave the issue of price, I feel competitive if it looks like it has in Taiwan: $ 500 and reserve price at the official Facebook page. He has also appeared in tents outside the Taiwanese company more expensive, at $ 570, keep in mind that these prices are regardless of the keyboard, which is sold separately at a price of $ 100.

We can establish a first comparison with Xoom Motorola, which also uses Nvidia Tegra 2 as the heart of the system and higher priced version of WiFi (599 dollars). We compared the 32GB versions of both, for the ASUS model with a 16GB version will logically have a lower price than comment.

The price that came home with a couple of weeks in the reserves catalog The Phone House in Spain, however, in euros and beneficial change for us 399 euros. Very rare for them to bring a product to Spain without making the 1:1 conversion of dollar to euro, but for our sake let's hope so.

Returning to the specifications of the tablet I would emphasize that connect the keyboard to get a battery life of up to 16 hours, while the tablet without attachment gets a reasonable 9.5 hours. Resumo the other important specifications: 10.1-inch (IPS - 1280 x 800 pixels), 5-megapixel main camera (records HD video), 1.2-megapixel front, and HDMI output.
