Iomega ScreenPlay HD DX, new media players with and without hard drive

The market for media players to connect to the TV is pretty saturated, which does not prevent companies to improve the models already on the market. Iomega is the case, which just launched its new range of media players DX Iomega ScreenPlay HD. DX ScreenPlay HD family is composed of two devices. The first is the ScreenPlay TVLink DX, a player with internet access but no internal storage that can connect, yes, all kinds of memories and hard drives through its USB ports.

The second device is the DX Iomega ScreenPlay HD, a high definition media player very similar to their own TVLink, but with internal storage of 1 or 2TB versions. All new DX range has ScreenPlay N WiFi connectivity and is compatible with DLNA. Apart from the USB port, offers HDMI, component video and optical audio.

Iomega does not detail the complete list of compatible files, but it supports the most popular to H.264, WMV and RMVB, and being certified DivX HD Plus. Internet browsing is free. For ease of writing the URL, Iomega has pulled out of his sleeve a little remote with full qwerty keyboard.

The three players of the family are already available at a price of 129 euros for the model without internal storage, $ 199 for the 1TB ScreenPlay HD DX and 239 euros for the 2TB model.
