Google Chrome still put on speed

Google on Wednesday released version 10 of its Chrome Web browser, the main developments include browsing speed. A choice that is not new: since the launch of Chrome, Google has made a place on the highly competitive browsers by focusing on simplicity and speed. Version 10 will include the browser including a new version of the javascript engine, part of the software that interprets the often complex code used on the websites "rich".

Above all, the browser will now support graphics acceleration, that is to say, it will no longer use only the computing power of the processor to display pages, but will delegate some of the calculations to the graphics card the machine, usually very powerful. Version 10 also includes an interface slightly modified and updated add-ons, including deeper integration of Flash.

Chrome is not the only browser to capitalize on these technological developments to increase the speed of page rendering. Internet Explorer includes graphics acceleration since version 9, and this feature is enabled by default in recent versions of Firefox transient, whose version 4 due out in coming days.

Thanks to an intense advertising campaign of a scale not seen for a product like a browser Chrome has raised a few months to the third-most popular browsers. Since its launch two years ago, the Google browser has captured 10% market share worldwide, according to figures from NetApplications, and continues to grow.
