Microsoft is preparing a new video and music service called Ventura, what about Zune?

Zune is an alternative but valid as music and video service, but its future is uncertain, we can not consider that Microsoft is operating as estimated, as sales of compatible devices have never been to shoot rockets. On the horizon already have some ideas, and sounds hard on behalf of Ventura. The internal name with which it meets a number of services that are being developed by Microsoft E & D (Entertainment and Devices).

The developments are focused on music and video, both serving for consumption, as in the search for them. The source of the news reports that are an important component of social integration, with recommendations, reviews and comments. The information has arisen because of a job offered by Media Services Ventura looking for developers, making it clear that form part of Microsoft E & D division for Xbox and Zune.

The first information about the service itself, suggest that Ventura would have a similar orientation to that of Pandora, Web-based. The cloud is the battleground where Google, Sony, Apple and all interested companies to dominate the sale of content will be. It is a question that can hardly answer, but the reality is that Microsoft would could come in handy to wipe the slate clean looking for the ideal to expand service between its different divisions: Xbox, Windows Phone, PC and even televisions.

The only answer that comes from Microsoft when asked about Zune is that the company is working to bring good music and video experience to customers across multiple platforms, but it is not clear whether Zune is the way, or will be Ventura . Track | ZDNet
