The U.S. group Apple Will it become the biggest customer of Samsung? It suggests that an article in the Korea Economic Daily, dated Monday, February 14, picked up by the Wall Street Journal (pay article). The newspaper said the Cupertino company would be willing to order for $ 7.8 billion (5.8 billion euros) in 2011, its South Korean rival.

The American group would purchase from Samsung LCDs, but also processors and memory cards for iPhone and touch pads iPad. The contract, if confirmed, is the sign of the complex relationship between the two companies, between competition and interdependence. If Samsung is becoming more and more as a supplier to Apple, the South Korean firm also benefits from the innovation of the American group.

At the World Congress mobile phone, Samsung has also introduced a new version of its touch pad running Android, the Galaxy Tab, and a new model of its smartphones, the Galaxy S.

Samsung has also been chosen to design the Nexus S, a new device under the trademark of Google. Apple and Samsung are also competing in operating systems. If several models of smartphones from Samsung use Android, Google, the South Korean firm has also developed its own system, a competitor of ios: Bada.
