A major earthquake affecting a large city and a hero to survive by managing food, water, and especially avoiding the pitfalls of the devastated city become hostile territory ... Such was the scenario Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories (Disaster Report 4 West), set out initially to urban survival on PlayStation 3 10 March 2011, the day before the earthquake and tsunami that hit the Japanese archipelago.
Delayed to next spring to technical issues, Irem, the game developer, announced March 14 the cancellation of the game, the principle echoes the disasters currently affecting Japan. The series is illustrated by Toshi Zettai Zetsumei principle of the original game: survival not face an attack monsters or enemy, but in an urban environment has become dangerous after a disaster, usually an earthquake .
The player must not only live out of town while avoiding the pitfalls, but also manage their hunger, thirst, fatigue, body heat, and to rescue survivors. In the first episode (2002, SOS The Final Escape to Europe, PlayStation 2), the players had to face a series of earthquakes affecting an artificial island off the Pacific.
A Japanese city struggling with massive flooding is the scene of the second album (Raw Danger, 2006, PlayStation 2). The third component (2009, PSP, never released outside of Japan) made him the lion's share of earthquakes, floods, landslides and other fires. Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories took up the principle of survival against an earthquake by moving the action into a great metropolis.
The publisher Irem has not officially made the link between the cancellation of the game's release and the earthquake that hit Japan. DELAYS AND YAKUZA MOTORSTORM Other games have also been delayed because of the earthquake. Yakuza of the End, which was released in the Japanese market stalls on March 17, was postponed to a later date.
