Arcep: the Senate could refuse to appoint a government commissioner

The Senate could refuse Thursday night the appointment of a government commissioner in the National Regulatory Authority for Telecom (Arcep), a prospect that arouses such strong criticism from Brussels, officials said parliamentary sources. No less than five amendments to delete this provision from the left and center but also a UMP senator, have been introduced in the Senate.
