Telfonica BlueVia launches its new application platform

Telefónica remains committed to be present in the applications market and compete with the giants stores like Apple or Google and its App Store and Android Market, respectively. And I want to do with a new concept to add to the store of applications already available to its rivals, its concept of operations, developing services related to the data traffic through, for example, text messages (SMS).

BlueVía its new platform, launched today, aims to attract more income slab developers promising as these funds will not only the traditional way of charging per download, but also some of the traffic charge for services involving connections, or those incorporate advertising. BlueVia is actually a new twist on Telefónica to enter the world of applications, and in fact, unify all the communities of developers that the operator had scattered in various countries (UK O2 Litmus, Open MovilForum in Spain, Developer Platform and Platform Movistar in Mexico Desenvolvedores do I live in Brazil).

Jose Valles, director of BlueVia said that Telefonica does not only have to please the 280 million customers are there in the world, but it'll be the first operator worldwide to offer developers between 10% and 50% of the revenues generated by transactions of applications, receive 70% of subscriptions to services that develop and will be charged against the subscriber's bill, differing so stores Apple, Google and Nokia, for example, whose model is just reward developers for each download (usually 70%, keeping the remaining 30%).

Valles gave the example of the first novel an application service for old mobile (the non-smartphone) so that from the same twitter can be used by a system of SMS, the amount the developer takes a 10% of incoming and 20% of the projections. Other applications are related to traffic warning system to not use the phone in the car from a certain speed, and one that can send sms through an Apple Mac.

. BlueVia now available in Argentina, Mexico, UK and Spain, but is accessible only by invitation, and it is expected that over the years become more widespread in most of the countries where Telefónica operates as a community BlueVia born agnostic respect to the platforms, "meaning that developers are free to carry out their applications on any system and sell them in Android, Apple or otherwise.

Also available to application developers in its portfolio to enable them to access key data from telecom operators, enabling them to better focus its efforts more closely and understand customer needs.
