Navteq is cast into the malls to be your eyes

Navteq did not wait for other brands of maps are positioned too far into the world of cartography interior and has announced its new system of internal maps "Destination Maps. Is right to offer such a solution soon because it seems pretty clear that Google has it in the spotlight and will not be long in getting to the kitchen.

Destination Maps Navteq (now a division of Nokia, so it seems a perfect complement to external maps phone company) puts on a map the rooms and other places of interest in these malls, with data on stairs, emergency exits, areas of retail, leisure and restaurants, lifts, toilets and everything imaginable in one of these macrolugares.

Currently only provides information on some 200 U.S. business Macrocenter (soon will you plan to expand to Europe and Asia), but it's a safe bet that it will grow quickly. Virtual reality and associated services are your best allies for all of us in a short time a GPS system with maps to specific locations covered as monstrous malls of big cities in the world.

But not end there sure thing and before long we will see applications and services that take advantage of all the navigation and positioning indoors and can for example find a friend in a shopping center know where buying our partner know in advance exactly or accommodation available at our favorite restaurant just off the film.
