Social networks are empowered to Google

Mike Cassidy, product manager of Google search, explains what the changes from today and work for U.S. users but no release date in Europe. "That does not take effect will have to browse and search without having connected your profile," he says. The effects referred to are the result of Twitter, Flickr, Picasa, Buzz, Hotpot, YouTube and any social and open a user include in your profile.

When a user searches on Google natural results have so far displayed and also those of their social connections with an underscore to indicate they are "social outcomes". In the same vein Cassidy explained that this change is substantial in Google's strategy: "As we have a PageRank to measure the relevancy of web pages, now we have a SocialRank to weigh the value of each user in the Social Services .

This measure is based not only on the number of followers but also the echo which is repeated every time they post on social networks open. According to Cassidy this change will gradually be "not at first but soon you will notice much social outcomes among the top ten. In Internet increasingly care more about what people think of our circle, what they believe, think and recommend ".

To decide what shares to appear between the results of Google users have to enter your profile settings and add whatever they wish. Within this section contains profiles of YouTube and blogs. Google, in an action related to its policy of ordering the information, also try to connect to social networking profiles whose name is similar to a user.

"If we find that a Twitter profile may belong to someone with that name will ask you to declare your property and include it in the search results of his friends."
