LG PlayStation3 calls for the withdrawal of U.S. stores

New cross-claims based on alleged patent infringements. Now it is the battle between Sony and LG. The South Korean manufacturer has accused Sony of infringing eight patents and sought his recall of products based on them the U.S. market. These include the PlayStation3 console. According to the allegations made by LG before the U.S.

trade authorities, Sony infringed four patents on their Bravia TVs and four more in its range of Blu-ray players, which includes the popular console. LG's initiative comes after Sony sued the company in December for violating seven of its patents in a dozen of its smartphones, as Xenon or Lotus Elite.

The two companies get 20% of its revenues from the U.S. market, hence the importance given to these disputes that usually end with a cross employment agreement disputed patents. In the field of mobile telephony almost all the major brands have crossed lawsuits for the same reasons. Motorola and RIM, the maker of BlackBerry phones, for example, reached an agreement last year to end worldwide litigation to which kept.

In the agreement "long term" remains cross-licensing and payment for them.
